Subject: Blog #6
Hi Champions,
I hope you are doing well and that you are all growing in grace and getting great benefits from the blogs as well as the process of being sanctified. Let me begin by stating that I know that some of the things I have been writing about are not always easily understood or in some cases accepted. I think back to my formidable years and I can recall just going nuts over certain certain things were written in the bible. In time God taught me the absolute truth and the reality of the things that I had learnt as a youth and now they form the foundation for a strong faith in the things of Christ.
So you do not need to understand it fully or even accept it fully. However I will remind you that the scriptures are emphatic "The just shall live by faith", "And without faith it is impossible to please God", "now faith is tangible though it is something that one only desires, it as practical as something in your hand even though you do not see it", Maybe I should write my own "Bible" LOL!!!!
If we conclude God to be perfectly just and all his actions right even though they seem inconsistent with the humanistic views; then the only thing that can come from God is goodness. Hence we now will begin to discuss the relationship between the goodness of God and his perfect will and how that applies to us.
Now when we accept Christ we become the "Obedient children of God." John says "beloved now you are the sons of God though you do not know what you will ultimately look and feel like, but we are confident that we will be like him when he appears to us seeing that he was transformed because he used to be like us." The best place to begin from, is looking at our earthly fathers....If a man is a good father, he wants what is best for is children; he makes every provision, based on his ability. He does not punish his children unnecessarily, nor abuse them, but rather applies only the appropriate guidance and structure that is required for the proper development of that Child. This is done so that ultimately that Child will grow up and adopt the Father's principles and be a productive member of society. Now a good father will do most of these things, but we know that earthly fathers themselves are humans and have flaws even as the child does.
Imagine then a father without flaws who not only assumes why you did what you did; but rather one that knows the heart and thoughts etc. Imagine that God was on earth in a physical body but was absolutely perfect in judgement, justice and deeds. Everthing thing about what he desires for you would be what is in your best interest - That would be his will for you. So one of the key things we must understand is God's will is not just because he has a set of guidelines that he is desperate to protect, His will is what is best for you and that is what is in his nature in the first place. In other words think back to Adam in the garden, whatever God told him to do was not for God's benefit but rather for his! So in truth God's will is out of his person for the benefit of his children. Now we begin to see the will of God not as 'God the judge' deciding to exact his will on mankind without consideration for anyone but himself and his feelings. Everthing about God's will is perfectly aligned to man if sin is not in his life.
Ultimately God's perfect will for us is greater than we even think at times. God's will for us is to be ultimately like him. Remember the words of Moses "And God created man in His own image, in the image of himself did he create him" That is why it is written in the book of Matthew as spoke by Christ "Be ye perfect (Spiritually Mature to your maximum capacity) as God is at His Maximum capacity" Paul further states "As we have worn the form of the earthy or Adam, so we shall wear the imagine of the heavenly; Chirst" who is God manifest in the flesh....So everything about the will of God is what is best for us; it is the sinful nature in us that resist the will of God because the sinful nature is the will of satan resisting the will of God. For the spirit wars against the flesh (Human Nature) and the flesh against the spirit, so that man finds it dificult to do what he really knows his right to do" Think about everything about what God ask us to do.....Think of the 10 commandments think of the fruit of the spirit love, peace, joy, long suffering, temperance...etc. everything is good for us; it is only the will of the enemy sown in our nature that is resisting the will of God.
So we know that the will of God is good for man! the will of God is perfect, "david says the law of the Lord is perfect changing a man' inner being, that which is written in the testiment of him is firm, if you are simple it will make you full of wisdom" David also says "Thy will have I hidden in my heart it will guide me that I will not sin against you" Every will of the Lord is pure and tested.
I will finish by encouraging us to love the will of God even if it is not easy....When you begin to love the will of God you will find that your will begins to become the will of God and over time you will learn to please him well..
God bless you and have a good night!
