Hi Champions,
I hope that everyone is doing well and that you all had a great day at service yesterday. We had a fantastic time in Ottawa yesterday at their Gospel Feast and I am grateful that I had the privilege of even fellowship with a few of you in person.
Please accept my apologies for not sending out the daily write up yesterday, however; I will do my best to ensure that we stay on track moving forward. I hope however that being at your various assemblies yesterday was a means of keeping the focus.
As most of you are aware we received the wrist bans on Friday and we started the distribution that same day. Most of you should have yours by now and if not I am trying to see if I can them to you this week.
Further to that I wanted to acknowledge that we have had 4 more youth that are interested in taking the vow. From what I understand so far it is 2 males and 2 females...So thanks to those who are spreading the word so that we can expand this program and give more support and uplifting to other youth within the Christian Community.
Today I would like to just build on the subject of vows: As we discussed on Friday, we looked the definition of a vow, its importance and benefits and I provided a few scriptures that I felt may offer some more insights into vowing.
I would like to reference the story of Jacob and his vow that he made to God at Bethel. Though many years had passed since Jacob made the vow to God and life had changed drastically for him. When he made the vow he was a single fugitive running from this brother, in chapter 31 God appears unto him to remind him that He God remembered the vow: Jacob now had 2 wives and 2 concubines and numerous children. Yet God did not forget the vow he made.
The thrust of today' thought is God will remember you when you perhaps have forgotten, secondly, you may have made a vow now, but sometimes it takes years to see the realization, therefore; trust and patience are key factors in reaping the benefits of our vows. Whatever you ask the Lord for something within His righteous will wait for it and do not lose faith, God is faithful and He will perform what he promised.
Hab. 2 v 3 tells us, though what God promises tarries, wait for it; in the end it will speak.
May god bless your day today....
Pastor Green
