Sept 1 - God's Perfect Will - Part II

Subject: Blog #6

Hi Champions,

I hope you are doing well and that you are all growing in grace and getting great benefits from the blogs as well as the process of being sanctified.  Let me begin by stating that I know that some of the things I have been writing about are not always easily understood or in some cases accepted.  I think back to my formidable years and I can recall just going nuts over certain certain things were written in the bible.  In time God taught me the absolute truth and the reality of the things that I had learnt as a youth and now they form the foundation for a strong faith in the things of Christ.

So you do not need to understand it fully or even accept it fully. However I will remind you that the scriptures are emphatic "The just shall live by faith",  "And without faith it is impossible to please God",  "now faith is tangible though it is something that one only desires, it as practical as something in your hand even though you do not see it",  Maybe I should write my own "Bible" LOL!!!!

If we conclude God to be perfectly just and all his actions right even though they seem inconsistent with the humanistic views; then the only thing that can come from God is goodness.  Hence we now will begin to discuss the relationship between the goodness of God and his perfect will and how that applies to us.

Aug 31 - The Will of God

Hi Champions,

Technically is it another day but I will make every attempt to write another Blog later today:

I wanted to touch on the topic of the will of God:

The first thing to know is that God's will is always perfect and right.  It is critical to understand this as it will be extremely relevant to some confusing scriptures that we may come across from time to time:  For example... when you read the old testament God asks the army of Israel to go to a city and kill everyone including children.  Now think of that for a moment and try to make sense of that in terms of the way things are today.  He just does not seem right - a command to kill those we consider to be innocent helpless children.  However, the statement will remain true, i.e. God is perfect and cannot do evil.  So even though an action appears severe and even cruel or callous,  God is good and perfect. Ps. 80 v 30

Hi Champions,

I hope that everyone is doing well and that you all had a great day at service yesterday.  We had a fantastic time in Ottawa yesterday at their Gospel Feast and I am grateful that I had the privilege of even fellowship with a few of you in person.

Please accept my apologies for not sending out the daily write up yesterday, however; I will do my best to ensure that we stay on track moving forward.  I hope however that being at your various assemblies yesterday was a means of keeping the focus.

As most of you are aware we received the wrist bans on Friday and we started the distribution that same day.  Most of you should have yours by now and if not I am trying to see if I can them to you this week.

Aug 29 - Winning the Temptation Battle

Hi Champions:

It is another day and we are glad to be alive and have another opportunity to keep our commitment to Christ and his Kingdom.

Today I wish to encourage each of us around the subject of Temptation:

I am certain that this is perhaps the single most challenging element of being a young believer:  Dealing with temptation:  While this is so, it must be understood that God has given us all the resources to deal with life in its totality.  2 Peter 1 v 3:  Declares that “God has given us all things that are necessary for natural human living and spiritual living.  This is received through knowledge”.

Aug 26 - What is a Vow?

Hi Champions:

I trust that your day was a fruitful one and that you are able to practice some of the key activities that we have laid out in the expectations guidelines.

Furthermore, I am confident that we are all looking forward to our first face to face session on September 9th @ 7:00pm sharp.

Today, I wish to encourage you on the subject of “Vows” Specifically, what are vows and why are they important and effective.  I would like to also cite some examples of people who have made vows to the Lord and what the benefits were to them.

Firstly:  What is a vow, a vow is simply a promise to do something:  The power of an oath is the idea of commitment that invokes a certain level of feeling in the person that it is being made to.  It also acts as mental solidifier for the person who makes the oath. It forces them to remain firm on their commitment when they are feeling vulnerable.
